Christian and Lisa BLONDEAU

Born and raised in the south-west of France, Christian Blondeau spent over 20 years in Five Star hotel management around Europe before finally settling in Brisbane in 1989. 

In 2002, Christian saw an opportunity to offer a refined French travel specialist service for discerning Australian travellers wanting to explore the more profound France, and France At Leisure was founded. This niche French travel boutique service's instant success quickly resulted in a constantly growing client base searching for unique travel products not found in other travel agent brochures. 

Since France At Leisure's creation, Christian accumulated first-hand knowledge on Paris and France's back roads, offering genuine advice and tips, making a significant difference to holiday-makers.

In 2007, France At Leisure was successfully appointed as a World Cup official agent sending over 800 rugby fans to France. This opportunity catapulted the business to another dimension, allowing funds to establish the company nationally.
Since then, Christian never looked back and continues to offer unique travel services to France.

In 1993, Christian married Lisa (née Coulson), who together, will host this Rugby World Cruise in2023. Lisa has 35 years of experience as a travel professional, after founding Travel About in 1991. Christian was delighted when Lisa joined France At Leisure in 2019, strengthening the business for valuable clients.  

Christian and Lisa promise a lot of laughter on board this unique UNIWORLD luxury river cruise, all in a World Cup atmosphere and among like-minded lovers of France and rugby.
