Day 1: Arrival in Cavaillon
From its Romanesque Chapel (12th century) to its historical narrow streets, the old city of Cavaillon offer an original view. Accommodation in 2* hotel and dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 2: Cavaillon - Cadenet | 45 km (3h15)
A stage dominated by the variety of landscapes which will guide you to the Durance valley with in back ground the beautiful montains of Aix and Alpilles before reaching Lauris and its 12th century château, then Cadenet and the ruins of its troglodyte chateau. Accommodation in 3* hotel and dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 3: Cadenet – Bastide de Jourdan | 35 km (2h50)
Beautiful trip through a large part of the south hill of Luberon sprinkled with authenticity villages. Do not forget to visit the villages of Lourmarin, Vaugines,  Curcuron…. before reaching the small village of Vitrolles en Lubéron. Accommodation in guest house 2* and dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 4: Bastide de Jourdan – Manosque | 30 km (3h10)
A stage via the AOC vineyards of Pierrevert where is situated the museum of wine & vineyards before cycling until the city of Manosque at the doors of the ‘Alpes de Haute Provence’ area, a place at the heart of natural environment and exceptional architectural testimonies. Accommodation in 2* hotel in B&B.

Day 5: Manosque – Forcalquier | 30 km (2h35)
A stage between two important places of Haute Provence area, showing a very different personality which will guide you to the eastern part of this area known as ‘Luberon oriental’: from the Durance valley, known for having been a natural place for historical migrations until the colourful and perfumed land of Forcalquier. Dinner and accommodation in 3* hotel.

Day 6: Forcalquier – Aubenas | 18 km (1h55)
Enjoy your hotel and its swimming pool before riding on this short itinerary in direction of the Largue valley for a panoramic view over Aubenas les Alpes where fragrance of distilled lavender is diffused in July / August. Dinner and accommodation in guest house 2*.

Day 7: Aubenas – Apt | 52 km (3h)
A geographic and cultural transitional ride where you can discover a real contrast in agriculture with lavander in mountains and melons in the valley. You will finally arrive slowly to the ‘small Luberon’ with its perched villages. Dinner and accommodation in 2* hotel.

Day 8: Apt – Cavaillon | 46 km (4h)
A neck lace of villages (Lacoste, Menerbes, Oppède le Vieux, etc ..) through the small Luberon will guide you on your stage. This last itinerary, through these villages where time seems to have stopped will stay in your mind as the symbol of Luberon. Departure at the end of the day. Possibility of extra night in Cavaillon.

Bordeaux is known all over the world thanks to its famous vineyards.

So, this is the logical starting point for your cycling trip, with a such rich city in cultural & historical places.

Let you bear away on the sweet atmosphere and follow an itinerary which will guide you from the ‘Entre deux mers’ area to the land of ‘Haut Médoc’. Smell the delicate & fruity fragrances diffused from the famous wine properties with suggestive names, and dream about the glorious & turbulent past of these old properties that you will cross.

1st Day: Arrival in Bordeaux
From your hotel ideally located, discover Bordeaux, with its numerous green and flowered open spaces, its exceptional heritage, then the quality of life naturally punctuated with gastronomic pleasures and nocturnal parties. Accommodation in 3* hotel in B&B.

2nd Day: Bordeaux - Cadillac | 52 km
Proud of its new transport facilities, Bordeaux has given a large access to bikes ! By this way, leave easily the town centre to ride on an original and rustic cycling path which will lead you to Créon, a typical fortified village of this area ! Then continue through the vineyards of Cadillac until the surrounding wall of the village.  Dinner and accommodation in 3* hotel.

3rd Day: Excursion to Sauterne vineyards | 43 km
Another loop for your papilla and your adventure in the vineyards: After a ride between forest and vineyards, the Chateau Yquem will appear and invite you to discover another taste : a honey flavour for a sweet white wine highly appreciated by wine’s lover ! From the deep cellars to the small routes between vineyards, ride on the path of a soil renown through the entire world. Then en route you will have the opportunity to stop at the Toulouse Lautrec resting place before coming back to Cadillac via Loupiac. Accommodation in 3* hotel in B&B.

4th Day: Cadillac – St Emilion | 50 km
This stage will allow you to ride through the heart of ‘Entre-deux Mer’ vineyards, from the  Garonne to the Dordogne river. You will have the opportunity to visit the charming village of Rauzan, overlooked by its dignified medieval chateau, before reaching the prestigious village of Saint-Emilion, one of the richest village in historical testimonies. 5th Day: St Emilion - Blaye | 62 km
Leave this city symbol of the greatest vintage wines to ride along Bordeaux vineyards and the soil ‘Bordeaux Supérieur’ then continue on Côtes de Blaye AOC vineyards. Blaye is also known for its citadel overlooking the Gironde river, dignified and magnificent, it has been built by Vauban during the 17th century and has been classified as historical testimony. 6th Day: Blaye - Bordeaux | 49 km + optional loop to Pauillac 40 km
Take a marine breath ! Start this ride with a Gironde river crossing by boat to reach Lamarque and its Médoc vineyards. An escape along sumptuous rivers to discover the Quercy, its way of life, the fabulous vertical city of Rocamadour and the black Perigord with its beautiful landscape: nothing has changed since prehistory! Travel through the deeply embanked  Dordogne and Vézère rivers and their numerous châteaux that marked out this historical route.

1st Day: Arrival in Souillac
Explore by foot the architectural heritage of this city. Possibility to visit the Benedictine Monastery which was built in the XIIth century by St Eloi and his sumptuous abbey. Dinner and accommodation in 3* hotel.

2nd Day: Souillac – Rocamadour | 32 km
Along Ouysse Valley or via more hilly itinerary, reach Rocamadour which used to be one of the most famous Christian Occident pilgrim. 3rd Day: Rocamadour - Gourdon | 34 km
A run through forest and hills in the Nature reserve called "The Causse du Quercy". An area of constrastes where limestone of the Causse gives way to the fertile soils of the valleys. 4th Day: Gourdon - La Roque Gageac | 32  km
After Cougnac grottos, way to the Dordogne Valley to discover a wild range of castles and fortified towns overlooking the river such as Domme. 6th Day: Les Eyzies – Sarlat | 54 km
From Les Eyzies, nicknamed "The Prehistory capital", you will enjoy the beautiful landscape until Montignac for visiting the well known Lascaux grottos which is one of the most important prehistorical site thanks to its numerous prehistorical paintings and caves. Incursion in the Sarladais country to join the famous medieval town of Sarlat. 7th Day: Sarlat - Souillac | 31 km
A day ride on a former railway track transformed in long and very pleasant cycling path. Way back to Souillac along the banks of the Dordogne river overlooked by the Chateaux of Veyrignac and Fenelon a chateau from the 15th century covered with Lauzes (stone rooffing) settled in green scenery and quiete place. From North to South, an exceptional circuit with cycling paths that will facilitate your journey ! This itinerary offers a concentration of Southern Burgundy charms : Romanesque art is present in each village, chateaux are witnesses to the passing of time and prestigious vineyards are following you all along the way.

1st Day: Arrival in Beaune
The undisputed capital of Burgundy, Beaune is also one of France's prettiest towns, a source equally of art and of history: its hospital, crowned by a roof of glazed tiles, is known throughout the world, and its wine museum is a must! Accommodation in 3* hotel and dinner in a local restaurant.

2nd Day: Beaune – Chassay-le-Camp | 47 km
A stage passing via the prestigious white wines of the “Côte de Beaune” vineyards such as Meursault, Puligny Montrachet or Chassagne Montrachet before reaching the Château of Rochepot : a magnificent 13th and 15th century fortress with roofs made of glazed tiles. Do not hesitate to make a stop in Nolay, a charming village with a covered market. Then cycle on the cycling path “Canal du Centre”. Dinner and accommodation in 3* hotel.

3rd Day: Chassay-le-Camp – St Boil | 44 km
Use the “Voie Verte” to reach Chagny before riding through the “Côte Chalonnaise” vineyards. You can take a look at the château de Rully, just before arriving in Mercurey. Don't hesitate to stop to visit a local wine producer and sample a glass of "Mercurey” red wine !. Cycle through the vineyards via Buxy, a typical medieval town. 4th Day: St Boil – Cluny | 38 km or 28 km
You will admire along the “Voie Verte” the beautiful landscapes of the South Burgundy. Among the treasures : the chateau de Cormatin and its gardens, unique in France for its exceptionally well-preserved interiors from the reign of Louis 13th (1628). Then arrive in the beautiful town of Cluny, well known for the vestiges of its Romanesque Abbey founded in 910 ! Accommodation in 3* hotel in B&B.

5th Day: Cluny – Tournus | 54 km
This last stage will bring you to Berzé-le-Chatel and its mediaeval chateau overlooking the vineyards and the beautiful landscapes that the French poet Lamartine used to admire. Cycling to Arromanches where you can see floating in the sea some vestiges of the artificial harbour “Mulberry” conceived by W Churchill. 4th Day: Loop around Caen | 52 km
On June 6th 1944, Caen set its mark on the world stage with the Normandy Landings. Leaving the city on the cycling path along the Orne river to reach and cross the famous ‘Pegasus bridge’, beautiful testimony of the World War II.
