Day 3: VAN GOGH IN PROVENCE
Most beautiful sites painted by Van Gogh: St Rémy de Provence - Arles.
Les Baux de Provence: medieval perched village in the Alpilles mountains.
Le Pont du Gard: Roman best preserved aqueduct of the 1st Century in a magnificent site.

The Gineste and the Crests road will lead you to the outstanding site of Cap Canaille, from where you can appreciate the exceptional view of the Bay of Cassis and Massif of the Gardiole.
Board the maritime tour to discover the Calanques, small inlets along the rocky coastline, interspersed with small beaches.
Enjoy some free time to explore the small fishing port of Cassis, nestled at the base of Cap Canaille. Stroll amongst the old quarters and shady square, or perhaps grab a bite to eat at one of the local cafes.

You are free to discover the city and it's many famous faces. Admire the spotless streets, 19th century palaces and many extravagances. The ferry crossing is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes hours from Cannes, 45 minutes from Nice, however the entire day is yours to explore Monaco!

Discover the Mediterranean coast between St Tropez and Cannes. Be inspired by the beautiful village of St Tropez, known for its celebrities, fashion boutiques, cafe- terraces, luxury yachts for all the world to see, it nevertheless has kept its authenticity.
Jump aboard a boat from Cannes to the famous village of St Tropez. As you enjoy the crossing to St Tropez admire the Mediterranean coast from the sea. It's a beautiful boat ride and a must-see while in the French Riviera!
The ferry crossing is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Cannes, or 2.5 hours from Nice, however the entire day is yours to explore St Tropez. Discover the provincial markets every Tuesday and Saturday and browse through specialty shops. Also admire the port and the luxurious million-dollar yachts.
The boat returns to Cannes at 5:45pm and you must be at the departure point no later than 4:30pm.

Motorway journey. Choose from the leathers, silk, accessories and luggages for which Italy is rightly renowned.Return drive along the Italian Riviera, with lunch time stop in Vintimille.
Taste the best pasta in the region with sea food or shell fish dressing at "Chez Guiseppe" (not included/free choice).
Coastal drive across the border to reach Menton arriving in Nice by the high corniche road with its spectacular scenery.

Enjoy the glamorous atmosphere of Monaco, amazing cars and beautiful people on this small group night tour from Cannes or Nice. Stroll through Prince Albert's Palace (open June to October), drive along the Formula One Grand Prix circuit and visit the world famous Monte Carlo Casino.

Your tour will take you to the official residence of the Prince of Monaco (open June to October) where you will have time to explore the palace. Be sure to check if the flag is flying from the Sainte-Marie Tower to indicate that the Prince is currently in residence.

Continue your tour by taking a lap in the minivan around the Formula One Grand Prix circuit before stopping at Casino Square where you have free time to dine (own expense) and try your luck in the Grand Casino. Entrance to the Grand Casino is and additional 10 Euros, however you may enter one of the other two casinos free of charge or treat yourself to a delectable dessert at the Cafe de Paris and soak up the extravagance as you watch the luxury cars pull up out front.
Minivans hold a maximum of eight passengers, and a small group tour is the perfect way to see how the other half live.

Visit the Castel Park overlooking the bay, site of the trading town founded by the Greeks 600 years BC. Drive along the port from where Catherine Segurane repulsed the Turks. Admire the Genoese building. See the city spread beneath from Mont Boron. Contemplate the old in Place Garibaldi, and the New along promenade des Arts. Arrive in Cimiez, winter home of Queen Victoria. Stop at Roman Arena of Cimiez. Visit the Cathedral. Return by Promenade des Anglais passing its famous landmarks. Finish the tour with a visit of the flower market in Cours Saleya.

You will start this fantastic tour from Marseille with Oppede le Vieux, a village carved into rock and whose authenticity has convinced some artists and writers to begin restoring it.
Not far away, you will discover Menerbes, a fortress village which has been witness of numerous religious wars. Continue to Bonnieux for a stop for lunch.
In the afternoon, make a stop in Roussillon to admire its red cliffs and then you will reach the enchanting village of Gordes overlooking Luberon. Finally, you will conclude the tour with a visit to the unique "bories" village.

Market in St Rémy on Wednesdays

Start your day with a visit of Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, a famous site for gypsy pilgrimage. Its fortress Church proudly holds the relics of Saint Sarah, saint of the Gypsies.
Enjoy a cruise on the Rhone River to discover the fauna of Camargue. As you cruise along the Rhone River, in the distance you can see white horses and black bulls running free. This wonderful scene is combined with the beautiful pink legs of flamingos which add an exotic touch to Camargue.

After your cruise you will visit Aigues-Mortes, a medieval city founded Louis IX, King of France, who wanted to build a harbor on the Mediterranean Sea.

You will have free time to explore the city including Constance Tower, the Ramparts, Notre Dame des Sablons, an early gothic style church, St Louis Square and the Statue of the King.

Marseille is the oldest city in France, founded by the Greeks 2,600 years ago. You will visit the old Harbor, the Canebiere Street and Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica.

Aix-en-Provence, the former capital of Provence, is famous for its splendid mansions dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. Discover the old quarters and Cours Mirabeau, the main street in the city.

One of your tour highlights will be a visit to the "workroom of Cezanne", the famous painter born in Aix-en-Provence, and a sightseeing tour to the foot of the Stainte Victoire Mountain to admire the sites painted by this famous artist.
