Authentic Provence - Cuisine & wines

Day 1 : COOKING COURSE
Pick up Avignon TGV Station and transfer to the guest house in Tavel,
an authentic provençal "mas", offering a splendid view of surrounding nature. Enjoy a cooking course followed by dinner (drinks included): discover the scents and spirit of the Provencal home kitchen. Accommodation
Day 2 : WINES IN THE POPES’ COUNTRY
Half day tour to discover the Wines of the Rhône Valley. Sightseeing in the vineyards and stops at 2 different wineries producing red, rosé and white wines (including Châteauneuf du Pape). During the tour, explanations about « terroir », grape varieties, vinification and aging cellars. Also, get in touch with French History, with great views from the cellars over castles or mansions dating from the 17th or 18th centuries.
Afternoon at leisure to visit the famous Popes’Palace and the Pont d’Avignon (English hearphone provided in both monuments). Wine tasting
in the Popes’ Palace. Back to Tavel for accommodation.
Day 3 : DOMAINE IN TAVEL
Stroll around the streets of Tavel, a picturesque village, and wine tasting in a Domaine which produces some of the greatest vintages of the Rhone Valley: Châteauneuf du Pape, Lirac, Tavel. Drop off Avignon TGV Station in the afternoon.
